Any chance you have something that can easily be imported into Unity sliced and named? These look wonderful.

(Or is that already provided and I just didn't realize? I get it is 8x8, but looks like a lot of the sprites are made from multiple blocks combined together, was wondering if that was already easily available somehow. Thanks!)

Sorry, no sliced version currently exists! If you make one I would be more than happy to include it here with credit.

Cheers!

No worries, figured that was the case, and will do if I can. Currently just messing around with your beautiful artwork while toying with a game idea. Cheers!

Thanks for the complements, glad you enjoy my work! Hope you have lots of fun using it!

Please add particle effects (like enemy killed and dust/smoke particles emit)

I'll put that in my list of possible additions, cheers!

Great Work

Hi, I just made a game for the gmtk game jam 2024 using this tileset, hope you like it! Your work is amazing, keep it up!!

Awesome, feel free to share the link here! Love seeing projects using my assets, thanks for using them!

Hi, I find your style unique and soo good. Did you came up with the style ? Do you have any tutorial on it ? Like some rules you follow to keep it consistent etc. I would love to experiment with it, and maybe create a variant of it for a personal project (I will be playing around with it to see, But any tips would be appreciated) Stunning. Amazing. Love it

Wish I could give you some solid advice, but this was just a very experimental time in my pixel art journey. Early on I was trying all kinds of styles, it was an anything goes type of time.

To hopefully help a bit, you an find the palette here. Basically the idea was minimal little cardboard looking characters that jumped off of a cardboard/paper like background. All packed into 8x8 tiles!

I also tried to keep the overall visuals somewhat blocky. Hope this at least gives you something to go off of, cheers!

Thank you so much for the quick reply, I'll try to ''get it'' with the pictures and what you said. My initial thought was it seemed all ''line-stuff'' where 1 color couldnt form a 2x2 block. and its 99% that. Beside the sprites. Ive done some test in aseprite (mostly redoing some trees and such) and ill do my best, If i come up with something, ill share it to you first. And of course credit you if anything is made or posted elsewhere ^^

Great job there! Thinking of using it for some game dev tutorials.

Some suggestion: to add climbing animation and some projectile for the player (he is holding some kind of gun it seems?)

Dude, can i use the assets to make a web page in itch for my game who use that assets?

Feel free to use them to style your page, just credit the original and please don't take any of the scenes I have put together. Cheers!

dude, i loved but i cant use in godot, can you share the files separated, sprite by sprite?

(+1)

I'll go through and make this and my other free packs Godot ready at some point! However I don't have any dates to give for when I plan to do that.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll try to prioritize this!

okay bro, in your time, and congratulations that assets are too beautiful.

Thanks so much, glad you like them!

how many sprites are there?

(+2)

Simple but beautiful

(+1)

These look insane for such a simple art style, but I was wondering if there are any more player character styles? Such as different body, or ones with hats

Nope, just one simple character currently. Glad you like the pack!

Alright then, well I appreciate your work either way :)

hi can i use it for my college assignment?

Yep, enjoy.

thanks

Hi, can I use the art style for a game, I won't copy the exact sprites colors or something like that I just really like the art style, soo, can I use it for my game ???

(+2)(-1)

I released Paper Pixels as CC0, this means you can use the sprites as you wish, and you can for sure work in the same style.

(+1)

This style is great!! I'm using it in my game I'm working on now. I may be adding in my own (poorly drawn) sprites but the style and everything really comes across well. Love the color palette too!

(+2)

This is such an interesting tileset. Great job !

Thank you onehuang. I am glad to see my assets being put to good use.

I'll be giving your game a play shortly, I'm sure it will be a great one.

Thanks for sharing.

my friend used this and I did too! this was amazing thanks!

Hey, this art is insane! I'm looking foward to make a game with this, but I was wondering, is there any file for the background?

(3 edits)

Thanks, glad you like it.

The pack includes a single tile for the background, you can loop in your game or use a photo editor to make a background out of it.

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention, I'll looking forward to playing your game.

Thank you for sharing and making these available for free. I love these designs!

I wrote an article about Why Do Indie Games Use Pixel Art. In it I included your image, credit to you and a link that redirects back to this page.

If you don't desire to have the image or link included please notify me and I will remove it immediately.

I am more than happy to have my assets feature in articles. Thanks for your kind words, and thanks for the feature.

The dark version is just great! It reminds me of a Skeletor colour scheme I use in my text editor :] And it should be easy to adapt to the PICO-8 palette.

(+1)

Ah, a PICO-8 pallete is a great idea. Glad you like the dark themes, enjoy the assets.

Yo solamente necesito decir que es exquisitamente genial este pixelart. Me tomo un juego a tu salúd, muchas gracias amigo.

Thank you for the art. Here is a little game I made in 4 days  using it, where you play as the bee: https://desward.itch.io/wet-bee

Hey, I gave this a play, great use of the assets and a fun game. Thanks for making it. I always enjoy seeing my assets being used.

Hi man! This is probably one of the best tile packs I've stumbled across while browsing itch and I've ended up using it for my entry for the Brackeys game jam. I really love it as much as all your other work I checked out. Keep up the good work!

Just played your game, great concept, it was quite a bit of fun. It is always satisfying to see my assets being used.

Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot. I have many more asset projects on the way.

Making a game with these assets!

Please do share it when you are done.

Absolutely, beautiful assets.  So far need some level design, UI/UX and a couple of AI's and I'll be sure to let you know!
